the suspects in connection with the shooting. allie rasmus has more on where a man and woman were seriously hurt, allie? >> reporter: the couple who did not want to be on camera described a pretty chaotic scene. she said it was consecutive and shots one after the other. it was also in the frame of the building and directly underneath, that front and the back windows in this building were completely shattered. two people, a man and woman were seriously injured and it happened just before the evening. two people opened fire and we don't know if the couple was targeted if they happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. just where they were standing is important because even though there are bullet holes,

paramedics treated the median. they are looking into whether the couple tried to run or if they ended up in the middle of the street when it unfolded. it appears to be going not only with parked cars and police are asking anybody who may have seen or led up to the shooting, they should give a call. one thing to point out, there are surveillance cameras in front and investigators will look into what they have captured to help them with this investigation. allie rasmus, ktvu channel 2 morning news. berkeley police arrested an 84-year-old woman accused of hitting a man in front of the uc berkeley campus. they believe the elderly woman may have been under the

influence. it happened on hoist avenue and spruce street. the man is in reportedly critical condition. the man disappeared on pigeon point. their boat capsized yesterday morning. last night they searched but with helicopters and overnight they searched with boats. family members say one of the men left with with he and his friends for a fishing trip two of them were able to swim back to shore and call for help. it was a drive they will not soon forget. somebody fired shots into their car on highway 1 yesterday. jeanine has more on what police

need to solve this case. >> reporter: police say they found a dozen bullet casings on the highway and today they need the public's help, they are trying to figure out who opened fire on a car here. this car was ridelled with bullets. it was in the southbound lanes when the driver lost control and started shooting. the driver tore through bushes and slammed into a construction fence near the haley street exit -- hawley street exit. >> the charger was occupied by 3 adults, two adults and a female. two of them were taken to area hospitals with undetermined injuries. >> reporter: police at this point don't know if the

. police just arrested a man who led them on a high-speed chase for an hour and crawled into a storm drain. the chase started in the san fernando valley and ended in van nuys. it happened after a row of seats became unbolted. the plane from miami to boston had to be diverted.

they heard consecutive shots fired. these residents did not want to go on camera for fear of their own safety. not only are the front windows shattered you can see where it dented but did not penetrate and the bullets went flying through this window and it shattered in front of that playground, the window shattered in front of the playground and two people, a man and woman went to the hospital with serious injuries. they are not sure what prompted it, they are not sure if they heard an argument breakout but it was just before last night, four people approached this apartment complex and opened fire. it appears the bullets went flying in all different

directions because 40 bullet casings, not just this but they had their windows shattered and they found bullet casings all the way into the median on to 7th street over there. anybody with information is asked to give police a call or anybody who saw or heard what happened, they are looking for four gunmen who seriously injured four people. allie rasmus, ktvu channel 2 morning news. in just a couple of hours, the trial of a woman who killed michelle le, she is charged with killing michelle le back in may. michelle le's body was found in a remote area four months later. they went to high school together in san diego. prosecutors claim she was

jealous of him and blamed her for a former boyfriend. one goh is charged with killing seven people. he is eligible for the death penalty if convinced after -- convicted after murdering several people at oikos university. the woman's body was found at fair oaks elementary school in pleasant hill. she had been missing from her adult care facility a few hours earlier. her exact cause of death is not determined but high temperatures may have ban factor. authorities are asking people to avoid using gas powered equipment and you are asked to take public transportation or carpool. new this morning there is a
